Greetings, from freezing cold Massachusetts. As...well...nobody knows...I'm a Girl Scout. Yes, a Cadette, actually. And as a Cadette I'm going to work 50 hours towards the Silver Award, which is the highest award a Cadette can be granted.
So, what exactly is the Silver Award? Well, as I've previously stated, it is the highest award a Cadette Girl Scout can work towards. But what exactly do I have to do to receive the Silver Award? In total, I must complete 50 hours of work-this includes any meetings I may hold, any community service I must complete, really, any work at all that might contribute to achieving a Silver Award.
Now, 50 hours probably seems like a lot, right? Well, get this. I went to a "Silver Award Seminar" for an hour and a half, so that right there means I only have 48 1/2 hours left. I've also started working and writing down what exactly I think I might like to work on (step 2) for 15 minutes and writing down who might be able to help me for another 15 minutes. Now, you're a smart human being, so you know that now I only have 48 hours left. Yes, it still seems like a lot, right? But, if I didn't do anything else, but community service for 2 days, I'd be done!
But, it's not that easy, is it? No, there are actually 8 steps that must be done while working on my 50 hours. As I complete the steps I will post how to finish each step and what I did to achieve each step.
